The all-new Tiguan looks to crown a new king of the social jungle

Volkswagen’s Rule the Road campaign takes fans on a 21-day immersive Instagram experience to find the Tiguan and win daily prizes.*

To continue the excitement around the all-new 2018 Tiguan, Volkswagen pushed Instagram to the limit with a first-of-its-kind virtual scavenger hunt experience. Every day from September 15 through October 5, 2017, fans play for a chance to win daily prizes and a chance to win a grand prize 10-day trip to San Francisco, Miami, and New York.

To join the fun, follow @VWRuleTheRoad on Instagram and be on the lookout for a daily clue that kicks off the hunt. Then, armed with the day’s clue, it’s time to scour the city in search of the hidden Tiguan, found somewhere within the city’s 24 tiles. In this urban, puzzle-like experience, there are different Tiguan vehicles everywhere, but each day only one Tiguan is the correct answer to the day’s clue. If a user finds the right Tiguan for that day, they’ll need to take a screenshot of the Tiguan and direct message the image back to @VWRuleTheRoad by 8:59 ET that day, giving the user a chance to win the daily prize as well as a chance at to gain entry into the grand prize sweepstakes.

There are hunts every day from September 15 through October 5. The grand prize winner will be selected and announced October 12.

Volkswagen’s Rule the Road is part of the larger campaign to launch the all-new 2018 Tiguan. With the new tagline, “The New King of the Concrete Jungle,” the effort kicked off with the “New King” tv commercial. Rule the Road brings the story to life through an Instagram experience that has users virtually hunt through the city to find the Tiguan.
